Giorgia got an abortion in 2017, but never talked about this experience, following the cultural taboo. When she eventually spoke up, she found out how many women around her passed through the same experiences. Giorgia is a young influencer, known in Italy for normalizing and talking out about the consequences of Valvonidias, but she is an active feminist. She started talking out about sexual illnesses not really known and discussed following her motto ‘sharing is caring’. On 28th September 2022, she talked about the future of safe abortion in Italy after the electoral victory of the extreme right party Fratelli d’Italia. Already nowadays, only 68% of the gynecologists in Italy practice abortion, while the rest can appeal to their ‘moral objection’ and refuse. After this political victory, the risk to abolish or make abortion even harder threatens the lives of different women in Italy.
